After two years of studies in illustration at the Pivaut School in Nantes, Axel de Lafforest applied for Supinfocom animation school in Valenciennes. He finished with the film La parfumerie de Monsieur Pompone. Searching for story development and curious in other techniques than 3D, he participated in the program "Leaving the school" in 2016. He made a short film Matins, which illustrates the poem of Paul Éluard.
