Synopsis
“Zip up! And let’s dance to the sound of breaking glass.” In Splintertime, the third in a series of short films that star Thee Wreckers, time and space are as interchangeable as birth and death.
Director and artist Rosto and his studio Rosto A.D. are well-known for music videos, television work and independent short films. In 2002, his short film (The Rise and Fall of the Legendary) Anglobilly Feverson premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival, kick-starting an impressive series of screenings at prestigious international festivals and worldwide recognition of Rosto’s work, including the films The Monster of Nix (2011), No Place Like Home (2009), Jona/Tomberry (2005), as well as the internet series Mind My Gap. As music has always been a driving force in Rosto’s films, he collaborated with many international musicians, such as Metropole Orkest, The Residents, Terry Gilliam, Tom Waits, and Thee Wreckers.
