Synopsis

How happy would you be to live the end of the world? And also to be celebrating your birthday that very day, or paying a visit to your mother, or maybe going on a date with your crush? This is what A Forest Fairy Tale actually is – a tale of luck. The luck of a few animals depicted through short sketches portraying the last day of the world. And, naturally, a blazing asteroid rushing toward the Earth is the best reason for deep contemplations and self-analyses of one's own life. If all this sounds depressing, fear not! After all, no one cries in this film (except maybe the author).

Franko Dujmić

Franko Dujmić was born in 1990 in Dubrovnik. After high school he realised he was not much of a music talent, so instead of the Academy of Music he started studying film and TV editing at the Academy of Dramatic Art. In 2013 he graduated with a BA in film editing, after which his love for animation inspired him to take an MA course in animated film at the Academy of Fine Arts, which he finished in 2016 under professor Milan Trenc. During the course of his studying, he worked on many student films, both fiction and documentary, mostly as an editor, but at the same time he created his own animated, live action and experimental films. Since 2010 he has been an active member of Zagreb Film Club and KSET Video Section.
