Synopsis


Five Ivorian children had to flee when war broke out in the Ivory Coast after the presidential election in 2010. The children talk about hopes and dreams for the future.

Trine Vallevik Håbjørg


Trine Vallevik Håbjørg (1969) is a Norwegian animator and multimedia artist. Trine studied animation at Volda University College in Norway and graduated in 1999 with the film One Morning which was shown at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad and won the Director of Another Reality Award at Black Nights Film Festival in 2000. In 2002 she went to the Oslo School of Architecture and Design, studying interaction design. After several years as a freelancer, she co-founded Råsalt Studio in 2013 together with Øyvind Tangseth. Råsalt Studio is an animation and multimedia studio based in Son, a small place 50 km south of Oslo. When I Hear the Birds Sing is the first film she directed in some years.
