Synopsis
This video installation lists the overviews of a single landscape, with its different scales, its different gravities, its different sense of reading. It is a matter of confronting contemplation with these diversities. The notion of a unique landscape no longer exists: it can only be a plural entity in constant change.
Vincent Masson graduated from the Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg (HEAR). After working as a graphic designer at Prologue Films in Los Angeles, USA, he became the artistic director at Holymage two years ago. In addition, he continues his artistic expression by developing visual works that question the instability of contemporary bodies. In his short films, the fluctuation of identity corresponds to the transformation of the body. Their protagonists become variables in a perpetual state of evolution. He finds his sources of inspiration in Japanese culture, the world of David Cronenberg, animation, video games, science fiction and post-human theories... He lives and works in Paris. Films: The Tide (2016), Big C (2012), Bonjour Mademoiselle (2011), Seoma (2010), Germe (2009).
