Synopsis
An expression of tactile longing: arms reach out to feel the environment, a haptic performance.
Benjamin Fox is an award-winning filmmaker creating small, spirited slices of cinema. Exploring a tactile, alchemical universe, his films incorporate objects found along the foreshores of the river Thames, the material culture of two thousand years of London life, using animation as an agent to unite and fuse a variety of creative forms. He lives and works in London, UK. Selected filmography: Dogmagnet (1997), Mystery Senses (1998), The Awakening (2003), Wounds (2012), Suchstuff (2013; ICA Best Experimental Short Award – London Short Film Festival 2015), Baitball (2015), Jason Gipsy Moth (2016), Frott Age (2016), InterZone (2016).
