Synopsis

I'm a baby in a 1950s backyard with my toys and my family. My dad has a Kodak box camera. I'm a sleepy child at the Darra picture theatre, waking up to a film noir. A man tries to solve his own murder; he is a dead man walking. My mind flickers from past to present, in and out of memories and dreams, animation and live action. I walk home from the pictures with my family, fast asleep.

Dennis Tupicoff

After graduating from Queensland University, Dennis worked as an archivist and teacher before making his first film in 1976. He has made many award-winning films as writer, director, producer, and animator. Retrospectives of his work have screened at festivals around the world.
