Eugene Boitsov graduated from the Kharkiv Academy of Culture in the Ukraine in 2009 with a diploma in TV directing. He went on to work as a freelance motion designer for five years, before studying at La Poudrière film school. Here he directed several shorts including C'est la vie (for the Ambivalences festival), Le Roi de la Montagne (one-minute film), Les Bébêtes (shown on the French TV network Tiji and winner of the Espoirs de l'Animation professional jury award) and La Table, his graduation film (2016).
