Synopsis

Disillusioned with his life in the suburbs of segregated Beirut, Omar’s discovery lures him into the depths of the city. Immersed into a world that is so close yet so isolated from his reality, he eventually finds himself struggling to keep his attachments, his sense of home.

Ely Dagher

Currently living between Brussels and Beirut, Ely Dagher was born in 1985, in Beirut, Lebanon. He received a Masters of Arts in contemporary art theory and new media from Goldsmiths college in London. Previously he had received a Bachelors in animation as well as a Bachelors in graphic arts and illustration at the Academie Libanaise Des Beaux Arts in Lebanon. His latest short film Waves '98 was awarded the short film palme d'or at the 2015 Cannes film Festival.
