When I used to study advertising, my photography teacher showed me a few animated movies, like Len Lye. Before studying Animation at the KASK in Ghent, I went to Antwerp to study illustration. I think the fact that I come from a little village is the reason why I am fascinated with structure and chaos. With silence and noise, impulse and rest. These themes are visible in my work. (W. P.)
