Synopsis

Intended to be a tool to explain the war against drugs, and broaden this debate with the general public, the film tells this story as if it were a fairy tale with dragons, kings and knights in armor. In this medieval setting, a dragon is named Drugo, and was banned by the king, who was concerned that people was spending too much time with it. Even so, people continued to go after the dragon and ended up arrested. An informal market was formed to promote people to reach Drugo, without the king’s acknowledge. The king, in an attempt to stop the escalating crime formed around this market, decreed a war to fight Drugo.

Gabriel Nóbrega

Born into a family of artists, Gabriel Nóbrega went to Music college and learned animation all by himself. Starting at 11 years old, for more than a decade he accompanied his father, musician and performer Antonio Nóbrega, playing the drums in concerts around the world. In 2009 Animatório started collaborating with Vetor Zero, and the new partnership soon proved fruitful with the international awards granted to films for Amnesty International (Everybody Against Everybody) and Cartoon Network (Toy Soldier). Three years later, Gabriel decided to leave Animatório and was made partner at Vetor Zero, becoming one of the top in-house directors.
