Synopsis

The film illustrates a day in the life of an Israeli soldier during his service, located in the Palestinian territory. A local boy dressed as a bunny starts a chase that blurs the line between the pursuer and the pursued, between reality and imagination.

Sagi Alter

Sagi was born in the coastal city of Hadera. During his childhood he used to draw with a black pen a flow of endless associations of images on any surface that came his way. When he was 18 he joined the IDF. During his service he was stationed as a combat soldier in Field Intelligence. Out of bushes and shrubs he spent three years watching and observing the Palestinian people. The movie Eli he created together with Reut Elad as part of the final project for the Art Academy Bezalel.

Reut Elad

Reut Elad was born in Israel and raised in Bat-Hefer. Her childhood was spent in art lessons and day dreaming. At the age of 18 she joined the Israel Defense Forces and spent the majority of her service in the Palestinian city of Sh’hem and left at the age of 21. Although six years have passed since her service she is still trying to understand the unconventional experiences she went through. She created the movie Eli together with Sagi Alter in their last year of animation in the Art Academy Bezalel.
