Synopsis
A Pearly Oyster production commissioned by Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service and supported by the Arts Council of England. Despite a gap of nearly two thousand years, Boudica remains at the forefront of the public imagination. Her story has been passed down the generations from the original writings of the Romans and she has been continually reinvented to serve as a woman of our age. In Boudica A Norfolk Story, the film contains all the key ideas about this very interesting period in British history whilst being attractive, playful and engaging for all ages.
Emma Calder studied Graphic Design at the Royal College of Art. Whilst at the RCA she began making animated films, including the cult 80’s classic Madame Potatoe. After college she set up a studio producing graphic design, illustration for magazines and work for pop videos and commercials. She co-founded Pearly Oyster Productions making many successful and award winning animated films and commercials, including The Queen’s Monastery (BBC). Emma is currently developing and writing a Random Person 52 part art animation series and has written several adult/children’s illustrated books.
