Synopsis
Sunny Afternoon is the confrontation of a “kind of” an avant-garde film with a “kind of” a music video, consequently questioning the standard taboos and clichés of both “genres”. Both the avant-garde film and the music video part make use of “typical” music & sound. Sunny Afternoon brings a film project to an end, which had first started 20 years ago, so naturally this is a reflection about time.
Thomas Renoldner (1960, Linz, Upper Austria) got his diploma in 1994 at University of Applied Arts with Ryhthm 94. Since 1976 he has been making experimental and animated films, music videos, commercials. His most recent films include: Mozart Party ’06 (2006), Sophia’s Year (1998), Zeit Raum (1998).
