Synopsis

The iconic stationery and accessories firm Smythson celebrates brand history with a fun Christmas film. 125 Years of Magical Gifts focuses on the gloved hands of a magician as he performs a sequence of tricks, using a colourful selection of Smythson Christmas gifts as his props.

Virgilio Villoresi

Virgilio Villoresi (1979) became interested in experimental cinema from an early age and soon began to make a series of animated collages following the example of the Polish animators of the 1950's. Thus in 2005 he made, along with Vivì Ponti, Frigidaire, a short movie filmed in stop-motion. In 2010, Virgilio started working in the advertising field making a lot of ads (for brands such as Valentino, Smythson, Sammontana, Fendi). He lives and works in Milan.
