Synopsis
Everything has its two sides. As one goes down, another one goes up, forming an unbalanced structure. This story uses two Chinese black and white traditional drama roles. They both seek and fight each other in order to annul this opposition, which symbolizes instability in the universe. No white, no black. In fact, black and white will eventually be attributed to unity. The world aspires to harmony and balance.
Hailu Chen has been working in traditional animation production for more than ten years as executive director and artist. She studied experimental film at the China Central Academy of Fine Art, and since 2006 she has been making experimental animations and independent short films, as well as applying animation in live performances.
Xiaobo Qiang is a scriptwriter and professor at the Xie Jin Film and TV Art College of Shanghai Normal University. He is a member of the Chinese Film and Television Clips Association, China Film Association, China Animation Association, Shanghai TV Artists Association and director of the Shanghai Film Association. He has been working in animation for thirty years, winning awards at home and abroad.
Yi Shi is a director of the Shanghai Animation Film Studio and director of The Hero Wang Erxiao.
