Synopsis

The video was shot with stop motion technology and rotoscope printed onto paper, entirely by hand. The first part shows the fittings and rehearsals in the DSquared2 showroom; the final sequence is of the Spring/Summer 2011 runway show. Commisioned by Vogue Italia.

Virgilio Villoresi

Virgilio Villoresi (1979) became interested in experimental cinema from an early age and soon began to make a series of animated collages following the example of the Polish animators of the 1950's. Thus in 2005 he made, along with Vivì Ponti, Frigidaire, a short movie filmed in stop-motion. In 2010, Virgilio started working in the advertising field making a lot of ads (for brands such as Valentino, Smythson, Sammontana, Fendi). He lives and works in Milan.
