Edo Lukman (Čakovec, 1949) is the founder of Animation School Čakovec (ŠAF) and its coordinator for more than 30 years. ŠAF, thanks to Edo Lukman, became a recognisable youth film club fostering animation, popularising professional animated film thanks to hosting leading international animators, organising international workshops in Čakovec, participating in ASIFA projects, visiting world-renowned animation festivals etc. Edo Lukman is an experienced film workshop facilitator and the author of workshop models which made him a famous and sought for film workshop mentor both in Croatia and abroad. So far he has held over 150 film workshops in Croatia and other countries (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Netherlands, Norway, Germany, Slovakia, Scotland, USA etc).
He made the short animated film Job Well Done (1989) for Zagreb film, animated scenes for the series Ne daj se, Floki! (2000), animated trailer for the festival in Laon (France) in 1994 and two commissioned films for an anti-trafficking campaign (2004). A jury member at festivals in Bourg en Bresse (France, 1992 and 1996), Zagreb (2002), Goldfish in Moscow (2003 and 2005), Roshd in Iran (2003). A member of ASIFA since 1982.
