Synopsis
Once upon a time, there lived a man who had nothing but himself. And a dream, a great big dream. But an immense and dangerous sheet of water spread out between him and his dream. The man set out. He arrived at his destination due to his courage and tenacity. But was that what he had been searching for?
Kaspar Jancis is an Estonian animation director and artist, as well as a musician, composer, scenographer, and lyricist. From an early age, he became interested in comics and writing. He has been a creative member of many rock groups. He studied filmmaking at Tallinn University and at Turku Arts and Media School (Finland). Over the years, he has directed a number of animated films using drawn animation or puppet stop-motion techniques, and his films have received numerous awards at international film festivals.
Vladimir Leschiov (1970) works as an animator, director, and producer. He studied animation at the Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Sweden. Since 2005, he has taught animation at the Latvian Academy of Arts. In 2007, he founded the animation studio Lunohod in Riga, Latvia. His recent films are Insomnia (2004), Lost in Snow (2007), Wings and Oars (2009), 96 (2010).
