Synopsis

The animation work of Chiara Ambrosio is an exploration into ideas of memory, loss and illusion through the use of animation, photography and video installation, deeply rooted in the surreal, absurdist world of Czech and Eastern European animation and literature.

Chiara Ambrosio

Chiara Ambrosio (1980, Rome) has been living in London since 1999. She graduated in Fine Arts from the Central St Martins College in London. In 2005, she has attended a postgraduate school in Prague for six months. She was thus able to explore thoroughly animation world, Czech surrealism, Czech and Central European literature, a major influence on her work.
