Synopsis
The Happy Duckling is a nine-minute animated adventure following the antics of a reluctant young boy and the relentlessly happy duck who trails him. It is set in a delightful and surprising pop-up book world where anything can, and does happen.

Gili Dolev – Writer & Director
Gili is a writer/ director and developer of animated content. In 2003 Gili co-founded
Ink Animations Ltd following his successful 'Promise Land, a short animated musical
about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As Ink Animations' creative director Gili had
developed, wrote and directed diverse projects for film, TV and the web.
Gili has recently moved to Israel to become Head of Content Development for Tel
Aviv based company Primus Design Group where he's busy developing a slate of
exciting new projects.

Animation at Stuttgart International Animation Festival, 2009. Winner Best
Short Film at Cartoons on the Bay, Italy 2009.

Festival 2008 ('Best of the world')
Directed Smart Materials for BBC Education, winner of 'Science with a Big See' prize.
2005:
Directed Greeks micro series commissioned by BBC. Official selection at Annecy
International Animation Festival and nominated for Scottish BAFTA in the best Childrens
Television category.
- Repeat screening of Promise Land at Annecy International Animation Festival as
part of a special programme about conflicts.
- Repeat screening of graduation film Meine Heimstadt at Annecy International
Animation Festival as part of a special programme about the holocaust.
2004:
Wrote and directed Kebab Kingdom, a 2d comedy micro series for
BBC Scotland’s Karen Dunbar show, nominated for Golden Rose Montreux.
