An exhibition presenting BA and MA graduation films, sets, puppets, animation sequences and AR drafts from this Slovenian university. On view is also a selection from regular guest mentor production workshops.

The guideline of the study at the University of Nova Gorica School of Arts is to steer students into graduates who not only possess skills but also the creative spark and critical thinking abilities necessary to thrive in a constantly evolving industry. At the exhibition we present BA graduation films by Miha Reja, Anja Paternoster, Katarina Blažič, Amadeja Kirbiš and Nika Karner and an MA graduation film by Sandra Jovanovska. Projects by current students Dragana Stanković, Domen Sajovic, Melita Sandrin, Tamara Taskova, Neda Ivanović, Anđelina Petrović are still in production and presented with sets, puppets, animation sequences and AR drafts. Mentors at the School are Kolja Saksida (head of Animation Module) and Timon Leder. On view is also a selection from regular guest mentor production workshops that we organize - including short works produced with Michael Frei, Miloš Tomić, Sasha Svirsky and Nadya Svirskaia and at the workshop co-organized with Stoptrik festival, mentored by Hugo Covarrubias.

The University of Nova Gorica School of Arts currently runs BA and MA programmes with Carrier Modules in Animation, Film, Photography, New Media and Contemporary Art Practices. The animation carrier module has evolved since its formation in 2001, and students can choose to work in various techniques - from stop motion puppet, cut out or relief, to analogue or computer drawn animation, digital 2D computer animation etc.
