Synopsis

‘The numbers are frightening’ was the title of the article that inspired Outsidefilm. It is about domestic violence happening on an everyday basis. Our protagonist deals with violence in a different way.

Izabela Plucińska

Izabela Plucińska was born in Poland and is now living in Germany. She studied fine arts and film as an undergraduate and completed her PhD in the field of animation at the National Film School in Lodz. Plucińska has some fifteen films to her credit, including Jam Session (2005), which won a Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, Esterhazy (2009), Sexy Laundry (2015), and Portrait of Suzanne (2019). Currently she is teaching at the Academy of Art in Szczecin Poland while being busily working at her own production company, ClayTraces Berlin.
