Synopsis


In a small town, a funeral is held after the death of a gardener. Three brothers find themselves lost in their imaginations on the day of the burial.

Mamadou Barry


Mamadou Barry is a 26 year old storyteller and filmmaker from the United States. Before joining the Masters program at Gobelins, he received a Bachelor of Arts in fine arts, art history and philosophy at Christopher Newport University.

 

Rodrigo Veras


Rodrigo is a Brazilian animator and storyboarder. He started working with animation in 2016, after making independent games for web and mobile. His first projects were in a small studio on a team of five doing visual development and background art for a Nickelodeon TV series. At the same time, he was finishing his bachelors in animation at UFSC focusing his thesis in animation teaching methods. After finishing university, he worked for many projects ranging from advertising, Japanese animation and feature films.

 

Ziyu Wang


Wang Ziyu is a Chinese animation artist who graduated from Communication University of China with a Bachelor's degree in Animation in 2018 and a Master's degree from Gobelins in 2022. She has directed the animated short film Spring Fever in 2018, which has won many awards and nominations from animation festivals.

 

Junhao Xiang


Junhao Xiang is a Chinese animation artist who graduated from Jiangnan University of China with a Bachelor's degree in Animation in 2018 and a Master's degree from Gobelins in 2022. He loves to travel and get some different inspiration from different cultures.

 

Wang Yu


Wang Yu is a visual development artist and animator based in Paris. She graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Art in 2016. She then worked in Beijing as an animator and comic artist from 2016 to 2018. She came to France in 2019 and began her Master of Art at Gobelins in 2020.

 

Linfeng Zhou


Zhou Linfeng is a 2D/3D Animator. He started working with animation in 2017. He has worked on many animation series, short films and in advertising. His animation style is not limited, with experience in 2D, 3D and stop-motion animation. To the Bright Side was the first feature film he worked on as a 2D animator in 2020.
