Synopsis

When Buck is awoken yet another day by his energetic family, he is frustrated. He craves after being his own person and making his own decisions. Out of anger he squishes an ant. He likes that. The feeling of having power over something is new for him, and he goes on a search for more of this. After several encounters with small insects, he finds himself torn over the killing of a mouse. For the first time he sees consequences to his actions. He sympathizes with the mouse.

Jezaja Uten

Jezaja Uten studied animation film at KASK School of Arts, where she graduated the master’s education with this film. Throughout her years there she experimented with different mediums such as oil painting on glass, traditional animation on paper and animation programs such as CelAction. Her graduation film is a combination of different work methods combined in a narrative film.
