Synopsis

Inspired by and based on a spontaneous visit to Museum of Art History Vienna, Austria in September 2018. Dusty paintings scream for attention and decide to become moving images in order to get recognized by an overstrained art audience. All photos of these paintings were taken during this spontaneous visit. In Trance It is the sequel to In Transit, that I created exactly 10 years ago in Paris.

Reinhold Bidner

Reinhold Bidner was born in Salzburg. He studied at the University for Applied Sciences and Technologies in Salzburg (multimedia art), at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, Scotland (animation and electronic media). Since 2007 he has been freelancing in the fields of video, photography, animation, media design and media art, either as an individual or in the frame of the art collectives 1n0ut and Goldextra.
