Synopsis

He is a magician. She is a firefighter. Isolating themselves from the chaos of a world in turmoil, the two lovers live in a crane basket high in the sky, where they go about their daily business. Their challenge is to keep their heads, here up above it all, while everything is falling apart down below. But when reality calls – when fires need quenching and people need entertaining – how can they best make themselves useful in a world gone off the rails?

Noémie Marsily

Noémie Marsily (1983) is a painter, illustrator and filmmaker. She is also part of the collective Nos Restes in Brussels, which experiments around books, narration, pictures, highlighting the diversity of practices.

Carl Roosens

Carl Roosens (1982) likes telling stories. He is an illustrator and he founded Nos Restes publishing in 2007, making fanzine books, exhibitions and concerts. He co-directed with Noémie Marsily a short animated film Poodle (2010) and award-winning Autour du lac (2013).
