The film recounts the author's memories of the beginning of the Second World War. Its action follows Mrs. Sarika as she leaves for the Jewish retirement home. What was once to be a serene end to her life turns into the horror of the holocaust which she falls victim to. The film's visuals were inspired by Georg Grosz and Otto Dix.
