Jung Henin was born in South Korea in 1965, adopted when he was five in Belgium, and has been living in France since 2001. From 2001 to 2007, he illustrated and published comic book series, including Kwaïdan, Okiya and Kyoteru (Éditions Delcourt). In 2007, Jung started the graphic novel Couleur de peau: miel (Approved for Adoption). The film adaptation competed at the Annecy Festival 2012, where it received the Audience Award. The film, which was co-directed by Jung, went on to win numerous awards at festivals all over the world and received in 2013 the Grand Prix and the Audience Award at Animafest Zagreb.He is currently working on a graphic novel and a new feature film project.
