Synopsis
A convict escaped from prison will try to recover a loot hidden in an isolated village some years ago, but what he finds there will cause him a sentence worse than the one he has suffered. Sinister ancients, strange disappearances, spirits, an old parish priest and even Santiago de Compostela's archbishop will meet in a history full of mystery, humour and fantasy.
Fernando Cortizo (1973, Santiago de Compostela) started working in the world of filmmaking in the 1990s with the short film El monstruo de la playa. Afterwards he worked on stop-motion animation short films. In those years he created works like the short films Bukowski, El ladrón de muñecas, Promesa and Leo. The Apostle is his feature debut, and the first Spanish digital extravaganza shot in the technique of 3D stop-motion animation.
