Synopsis
Director Wes Anderson, who made a name for himself with The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Darjeeling Limited, is presenting his first animated master-piece based on a novel by Roald Dahl – Fantastic Mr. Fox – also the first stop-motion animation produced by the 20th Century Fox company. The film tells the story of Mr. and Mrs. Fox, who led a quiet life in the wilderness with their son Ash for twelve years. A visit of their nephew Kristopherson awakens old poultry thief instincts in the quiet family guy Mr. Fox, which brings not only his family, but the entire animal community in danger.
Wanting to catch Mr. Fox, evil farmers hid the animals underground. After they have depleted the food resources, the animals are forced to join and try and regain the land that is rightfully theirs.
Wes Anderson was born in Houston, Texas. His films include Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
