Synopsis
A monk tries to catch a smart fish. This film won the César for best short, it was nominated for an Oscar and has won awards at several festivals, among others, Ottawa, Annecy, Espinho and Hiroshima.
Michael Dudok de Wit is a Dutch director born in 1953 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Red Turtle is his feature animated debut. His short animation Father and Daughter earned him an Oscar award in 2000, as well as Animafest Zagreb Grand Prix in 2002. Also, Michael writes and illustrates children's books and teaches animation at art academies in England and internationally.
