Synopsis

In Korea a wave is called a monster wave when it has come a long way with an enormous power. The wave is not very high, so it’s very hard to distinguish it from the others. Only if it crashes an obstacle like a groyne it reveals its lethal power and can build up to the size of a hill. Therefore accidents happen from time to time on the long coastals of the country. This film is based on the true destiny of a family that was torn apart by the power of the sea.

Sae Yun Jung

Sae Yun Jung was born in South Korea. He studied fine art photography at Seoul Institute of the Arts from 2007-2009 and then studied animation at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in Germany from 2011-2017. He is at the moment working with four friends at experimental animation group Vamos in Germany.
