Synopsis

We follow a day in the life of Tanya, a curious woman who has developed a taste for non human lovers. This time her bedroom experiments result in the creation of a beautiful giant slug. Has she finally found the formula for total perfection? If so, can such a thing survive in this gnarly world full of freaks and beefs?

Sophie Koko Gate

Sophie is an animation director working in London. Her graduation film Half Wet (2014) screened in festivals worldwide including SXSW, BFI, AFI and the Tate Modern. She has made short films for Adult Swim, MTV, Hulu, FX, Vice and most recently the BBC and BFI. Her film Slug Life screened at Sundance 2020 and won awards at SXSW, Ottawa and GLAS Animation festival. She has also curated animation for Adult Swim’s Off The Air programme. She is currently developing an animated TV series with Sony Pictures Animation.
