Synopsis

Through a feminist lens, the authors are paying tribute to their teacher, one of the most important Croatian sculptors, Marija Ujević Galetović. In a combination of images and animation, Marija’s revitalised female sculptures convey their author’s life story and views.

Martina Meštrović

Martina Meštrović (1974) graduated from the Sculpture Department from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1998. She has held several solo and group exhibitions. In 2004, she joins the art collective Kreativni sindikat, working as a 2D and 3D set designer, animator and director. She lives and works in Zagreb.

Tanja Vujasinović

Tanja Vujasinović (1974) obtained a master’s degree from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London in 2006 and graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1999. She works in different media, including video, sculpture and sound. Her works have been displayed at many national and international exhibitions. She lives and works in Zagreb.
