Sergei Ryabov

Sergei Ryabov was born in 1977 in Schelkovo, Russian Federation. In 1995 Ryabov finished the Moscow Art College and received his first profession – artist-jeweller. 1995 – 2001 he studied in the Gerasimov All-Russian State University of Cinematography (workshop of Sergey Alimov) where he made a student animation film Home alone. After receiving his diploma (thesis subject: Pinocchio), he worked as an animator for several years in different Moscow studios. In 2006, he created an animation stand at home and used it to make his film Rybka, which became a prize-winner at many international film festivals.
