Synopsis


Norman Babcock is an outcast in his small New England town. When a horde of zombies is unleashed on the populace, Norman learns he must use his paranormal powers to make things right again. That’s not an easy task when you’re only eleven. And you’ve just been grounded.

Chris Butler


After amassing an impressive array of feature credits as storyboard artist, character designer, and sequence director over the past decade, Chris Butler makes his writing and directing debut with ParaNorman. A native of the UK, Chris joined LAIKA to work on the Henry Selick—directed Coraline, serving as head of story as well as a character designer. He received an Annie Award nomination for his story work on the movie and was recognized by Variety as one of animation's top up-and-coming talents. Mr. Butler's career encompasses feature and television animation, and has included storyboard and design work on The Tale of Despereaux, Corpse Bride, and numerous projects for Disney Studios. He has delivered lectures on the subject of storyboarding.

 

Sam Fell


Sam Fell is a British film director, screenwriter, voice actor and animator. He graduated in fine art in 1989, and then embarked on a career as director and animator at various production companies, including Aardman Animations, where he was key animator on Wat's Pig, Peter Lord's 1996 Academy Award-nominated short film. In 2001 he came up with the story of Flushed Away which he developed through 2002 and received BAFTA Award. He then made The Tale of Despereaux, a Universal Pictures feature for which he was an Annie Award nominee for Best Directing. An award-winning commercial director, he has also developed and directed several shorts and television series.
