Don't Miss! Famous SF Anime Akira Transports us to Tokio in the Future
06/07/2017

Probably the most famous anime of all time, adapted from the cult classic manga from the same author, Katushiro Otoma's Akira (1988) is probably a single most important reason for the extraordinary popularity of this Japanese animated style in the West. A pinnacle of cyberpunk, Akira, with its tragic motive of psionic (ESP) powers and recognizable dystopic iconography of metropolis and motorcycle gangs, is also one of the most significant science fiction films in history.

Thanks to the special permission of Akira Commitee, a production company founded with the unique mission of preserving the cult heritage of this film, Animafest's audience has an unique opportunity to see Akira on a big screen on Friday, June 9 (20:00, Tuškanac Cinema).

See you in Tuškanac!
